MoistScan® MA-600SS Single Sensor Moisture Analyzer
The MoistScan®
MA-600SS moisture sensor was designed to alleviate the problems
associated with attenuating material and extreme bed depth
ranges. The unique design of the MA-600SS uses a single
microwave sensor that penetrates using a half sphere of
approximately 20cm radius.
The MoistScan® MA-600SS utilizes the latest
updates in Callidan's patented microwave technology. By closely
monitoring both phase and attenuation changes within the
analysis zone accurate predictions in moisture content can be
determined.
The installation of the analyser is simple.
The MA-600SS can also be configured to provide control of
external devices such as analogue or digital valves which
control water addition or feed rates.
Callidan Instruments has the expertise
required to design a customised solution for requirements. The
MA-600SS can be "pre-calibrated" providing the client can send a
10 liter sample to Callidan's calibration facility.

The MA-600SS works by
transmitting a microwave signal into sample material where some
of the microwave signal is reflected depending on product
moisture content. This reflected microwave signal is then
detected by the receive sensor.
